Equippo was formed by two Swiss entrepreneurs representing the two main biz skills required to build the platform. In-depth experience and knowledge of the construction equipment market and online-market it-experience. However they were lacking expertise, tools and best practice how to set up a business and run it properly in todays markets and sociological days. This is where my part came to play. Being asked to assume the role of Chairmen I helped and guided the founders through the first 2 1/2 years filled with challenging times including the completion of two investment rounds with all the related topics such as shareholder agreements, valuation, business plans, cash burn rate and scorecard reporting just to name a few. One of the main giants of this industry is now business partner and significant shareholder while the company continues to evolve as the number one market place for used construction equipment.
